KISHTWAR, Apr 7: Police arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered 565 grams of cannabis from his possession.
As per police sources, on reliable information a team from Police Station Kishtwar laid a naka and intercepted a commercial vehicle bearing registration number JK17/0480, which was coming from Padder towards Kishtwar.
During checking, police team recovered 565 grams of cannabis from the luggage of a passenger who boarded the vehicle from Padder and was about to sell the consignment among the youth in Kishtwar town.
The arrested person was identified as Harnam Singh, son of Devi Singh, a resident of Chitoo Padder District Kishtwar.
A case under FIR Number 76/2022 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation taken up.
