SRINAGAR, Apr 7: Police in Kupwara today booked a notorious thief under the Public Safety Act (PSA) after obtaining the necessary sanction from the authorities.
In this regard, police said, a notorious thief namely Mudasir Ahmad Lone son of Late Abdul Majeed Lone resident of Mughalpora Kupwara was detained under Public Safety Act by Kupwara Police after obtaining sanctions from the concerned authorities for his unrelenting criminal acts of burglary and theft.
“He was involved in at least five cases of burglary and theft in and around Kupwara town. Apart from his involvement in several FIRs, the accused had created an atmosphere of terror and fear among the general public of the area,” police said.
