JAMMU, Apr 7: Continuing with developmental activities in Ward 16, New Plot, Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Rajinder Sharma along with BJP spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan and members of Mohalla Committee here today started work for laying tiles in a lane in the Ward.
Speaking on the occasion the Councillor talked about the works completed in the Ward and those under progress.
He said that out of 110 lanes in the Ward, 61 have been reconstructed, 120 drains covered and many such works are in pipeline.
Sharma informed that keeping in line with the essence of PM Modi’s call for local self governance, the people living in and around a work site are involved for its execution and supervision for which Mohalla Committees are formed for quality check of the work.
Balbir Ram said that various developmental activities are visible on ground in different parts of the Ward.
Sodama Sharma, Susheel Singh, Vimal Gupta, Vijay Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Dev Raj, Suresh Sethi and others were present on the occasion.
