JAMMU, Apr 8: Membership meeting of Congress Committee Akhnoor was held under the leadership of senior Congress leader Satish Sharma.
The agenda of the meeting was to work on the ongoing membership drive of Congress Committee.
Congress leaders from all blocks of Akhnoor participated in the meeting and shared their views.
While speaking, Satish Sharma urged the party workers to fasten the membership drive and enroll maximum people in the party. He said that public is suffering during the current BJP controlled administration of J&K.
“During Navratras, no electricity is available to public. Power cuts have become a routine affair. People are also suffering due to daily increase in petrol and diesel prices. The increase in diesel price is causing price rise of every daily consumable items”, he said, adding that elections should be held immediately so that an elected Government can solve the problem being faced by people.
Others present in the meeting were Ex OBC Chairman Kuldeep Verma, BDC Chairman Parveen Kumar, Block Presidents Madan Lal, Om Prakash, Bachan Singh, Sarpanch Shyam Lal, Panches Joginder Lal, Bhola Nath, Baldev Bhagat and Subedar Gian Singh.
