JAMMU, Apr 8: A virtual meeting of the Central Body Jammu of All J&K Plus 2 PSC Lecturers’ Association was held here today which was attended by its members and district presidents of Jammu province.
In the meeting, the recent developments were reviewed and core issues of lecturer cadre were discussed at length.
Addressing the members, Manjeet Chib President of the association declared that the celebration of the Lecturers’ Day in J&K on 9th April over the years has become a mockery and a handy tool of the wrong elements to promote their vested interests and harm the collective dignity of the lecturer cadre.
He said that JKPSCLA does not endorse the celebration of any Lecturers’ Day as it has neither any significance nor relevance, rather appeals the whole lecturers’ fraternity to perform their assigned official duties sincerely and to not get carried away with false claims of unelected leaders.
Manjit Chib further assured the whole cadre that with the consistent on-record efforts of PSC Lecturers Association and with the exemplary support of Principal Secretary B K Singh, the issue of ACP is approaching its logical end. He cautioned the whole cadre to remain vigilant against the credit-mongers who did nothing in their long careers and are now busy misleading the cadre for their personal gains.
MA Katoch, General Secretary said that lecturers association has strong set up having ten district units and the support of more than five thousand lecturers. Lecturers association is the real representative of the cadre working for last ten years so the nonexistent entities are struggling hard to prove their strength by doing hypothetical claims.
