RAMBAN, Apr 8: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today convened a meeting to review progress on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway widening project and to discuss the issues related to the new alignment from Nashri to Banihal here today in his office chamber.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Sharma; Project Director NHAI, Parshotam Kumar; DMO, Kulwant Singh; Tehsildar, representatives of DMR and private construction company besides other concerned officers attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed in detail issues related to Land Acquisition, Forest clearance and other allied issues regarding the construction of prestigious NH-44 four laning projects.
Earlier, representatives of construction companies highlighted their issues pertaining to new alignment especially related to construction of tunnels, viaducts and bridges.
The DC resolved several issues on the spot and passed directions to concerned officers to resolve issues related to their respective departments on priority basis besides providing them with a good working atmosphere.
The DC assured the construction agencies of full support from District Administration for completing this National Project within stipulated time frame.
