JAMMU, Apr 8: Senior BJP leader and Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor of Ward 16, Rajinder Sharma here today started blacktopping of lanes at Tali Morh, Prem Nagar and New Plots.
The blacktopping will cover a length of two kms and about 13 lanes including lane number 1, 5 etc will be covered in this project.
Speaking on the occasion the Councillor said that there are 110 lanes in Ward 16 out of which 73 have been constructed in a span of three years.
He also said that drains in the Ward have been developed.
“We need to change our minds at all levels so that transparent, accountable and efficient services are delivered for the welfare of masses,” the BJP leader maintained adding that it can happen only with visionary, qualified and transparent leadership and with active cooperation of the public.
He asked the people to cooperate with JMC in developmental works and avoid use of plastic and polythene in routine works.
