Chib lays foundation stone of Ravi Dass temple

JAMMU, Aug 26: Former Minister and PCC general secretary R S Chib laid foundation stone of  Guru Ravi Dass temple at Jajowal in R S Pura tehsil of  Jammu district.
Addressing large public on this occasion, Mr Chib highlighted the teachings of  Guru Ravi Dass ji  and said that life of  the great Guru should serve an example for all. Mr Chib elaborated that Guru Ravi Dass in one of  his couplets  said that no body should be judged by his birth but on the basis of his Karma. He said teaching and life  of Guru Ravi  Dass is more relevant today. He said when some anti-social and hardliner elements  try to divide our society on the basis of  religion, caste and creed, under such circumstances, such people turn out as torch bearers and create awakening among the society.
While referring to the construction of temple which is being constructed at Jajowal with community and voluntary donation, Mr Chib also announced his contribution of Rs 30,000 out of Chenab Education Trust.  He congratulated the people from the area for their initiative in the memory of the great Saint.
Mr Chib also expressed his sympathy for those whose houses  and crops were damaged due to recent heavy rain. He asked the administration to carry out a detailed survey of such cases so that people of this border belt were adequately compensated.
