JAMMU, Apr 11: Shivsena unit of J&K today staged a strong protest against the anti-national and anti-social elements, who are hell bent upon to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of Jammu and Kashmir.
Shivsena activists under the leadership of President UT J&K Manish Sahni assembled in front of party head office here and held protest.
While talking to reporters, Sahni described Jammu as a symbol of communal harmony and secularism. He said all efforts must be made to strengthen the secular fabric of the region, which is pluralistic in nature.
He said the UT is passing through a difficult phase and there are forces which are trying to create a regional divide and communal divide in the state for votes.
He said everybody is placing the regional interest and regional aspirations above the integrity of the UT, which is a matter of serious concern and will harm the nation’s interest in the long run,” he said.
He cautioned such mischievous elements who tried to create communal disharmony and disturb the secular fabric. He asked them to desist from their nefarious antics. He said that along with target killing in Kashmir, vigorous efforts are being made to break the mutual brotherhood in Jammu.
Sahni appealed to the police administration to expose their masters by using third degree against the miscreants who have been caught.
Among those who joined the protest include General Secretary Vikas, Chairman Rakesh Gupta, President Kamgar Raj Singh, Mangu Ram, Pawan Singh, Rajesh Handa and Deepak Sharma.
