JAMMU, Apr 12: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), being a nationalist party, cannot afford to discriminate people on the basis of caste, region, religion or language.
This was stated by Yudhvir Sethi, J&K BJP vice president while addressing a joining function in which dozens of people from ST community joined the party fold during a programme held at Javed Nagar, Nikki Tawi, Jammu on Tuesday.
Today’s programme was organized by Choudhary Haroon, president BJP ST Morcha J&K in which Yudhvir Sethi, J&K BJP vice president was the chief guest.
Yudhvir Sethi, while welcoming the new entrants into party fold, appreciated them for their wise decision to join BJP. He said that the joining by the new entrants proves that the BJP has gained trust from all quarters and segments of society.
Yudhvir said that it is only the BJP which has considerable support of people of all shades of life and those belonging to every nook and corner of the country. He said that BJP has become the face of SCs, STs, and minority communities because no other party in the country is ready to accept them as they are afraid of losing the mandate of the majority community.
He further said that party has high hopes that the newly joined leader will serve the nation and party following all principles of organization. He said that having become part of the BJP cadre they are expected to work relentlessly at the ground level especially to fulfill the aspiration of people of Jammu who had been deprived of their due rights for long.
Choudhary Haroon said that the policy of BJP is crystal clear because it never shirks to own the people of the country no matter from which sect, caste or colour they belong. He said that this is the quality of BJP which has made it the most popular political party in the country and the world.
Rajinder Chib district president Jammu Rural said that it is the prime duty of every member of the party to work vigorously for strengthening the party base.
