JAMMU, Apr 12: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Sham Lal Basson of Ward 48 here today started up-gradation work of lanes and drains in Gorkh Nagar, Bahu Fort.
The work of lanes and drains will be completed at an estimated expenditure of Rs. 11 lakh and was the long pending demand of Gorkh Nagar people.
Speaking on the occasion Basson assured the people of his Ward that justice will be done with every Mohalla of the Ward 48 with balanced work.
He also assured that parking problem in the area will also be solved very soon as a multi-story parking facility will be started very soon in front of Gorkh Nagar.
The Councillor also assured to solve the problem of water very soon and said that healthcare facilities will be provided to the people of Bahu Fort.
Om Parkash, Babita Rana, Kamal Gandotra, Rinku Gandotra, Garu Ram, Vijay Sharma, Vaishno Kapoor, Bahadur Lal, Sushil Kumar and others were also present on the occasion.
