KATHUA, Apr 13: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia has said that due to hollow policies of BJP led Govt at the Centre, the problems of people of Jammu and Kashmir have increased manifold.
While addressing a youth rally held here today, the former MLA said that APP is the only option to the ‘Jumla Party’ that is presently running the Government at the Centre.
It is pertinent to mention here that the rally organized by the Kathua youth leader, Robin Sharma was also graced by former MLA Yashpal Kundal, DDC Member Suchetgarh Taranjit Singh Tony, Parvinder Singh Happy and Tanvir Hussain. The youth leader along with hundreds of supporters joined AAP during the programme.
Mankotia accused the BJP Govt of resorting to mere propaganda of having fulfilled its promises and bringing an era of unprecedented development in Jammu and Kashmir by establishing peace. He said that the fact remains that peace is still a distant dream in this disturbed region with killings by terrorists continuing even now. Moreover, the ground situation reveals that development is in tatters with blatant discrimination against the people having allegiance to political parties other than BJP. He reiterated that now AAP will sweep the J&K Assembly elections in J&K and provide the best governance here like it is doing in Delhi and Punjab.
Yashpal Kundal raised serious concern over the problems being faced by J&K youth especially on the front of employment. He said that youth is in utter frustration on finding their future bleak due to absence of any result oriented employment policies put in place by the UT Administration. He said that people have understood the befooling tactics of the BJP and will teach it a lesson in the upcoming Assembly elections.
APP leader Taranjit Singh Tony came down heavily on the BJP’s defunct and anti-people policies and said that it is now for the people to understand that BJP only brought miseries to them on all fronts and they have to get rid of this party in Governance. He asserted that only then the common people will heave a sigh of relief. Highlighting the inapt handling of the affairs by the PM Modi led Union Govt, Tony lamented that unprecedented inflation and skyrocketing prices of all the essential commodities have broken the spine of the common people.
The rally culminated at Shakti Palace Kathua, where more than one thousand people including youth, women and elders led by Robin Sharma joined AAP.
