Three-day art exhibition begins at Kala Kendra

JAMMU, Apr 13: An impressive three-day fine art photography group show commenced today at Kala Kendra, Jammu.
Inaugurating the exhibition, Renu Gupta, chairperson, MIER Group of Institutions eulogized the efforts put by Aperture, the photographic club that has organized the three-day show. She maintained that such shows are imperative to set the artistic ambience of the city in a direction where the budding artists could draw motivation from.
Twenty-five art pieces in all have been put on exhibition depicting the beauty of constructed reality, landscapes and street photography by five artists-Dr Raj Kumar Sharma, Ashok Kumar, Mahmud Anwar Alnasir, Vijay Gupta and Chandan Sunder, who also put forth their views about the art of photography.
Spelling out the process of artistic creation, Chandan Sunder said that the silence and the meditative state of mind take one to timeless place where the artworks get produced. “The wanderers get opportunity to arrest the beauty of nature which would never be the same again, only time and space would remain with us,” Mahmud Anwar Alnasir added.
Dr Raj Kumar Sharma, who is also a renowned diabetelogist of Jammu, stressed on the importance of the moment that offers you the best of life to be clicked. Recently, Dr Raj Kumar was conferred Gold Award by Kalaratnam Foundation of Art Society for International Online Annual Art Exhibition.
Vijay Gupta described the sunrise and the sunset of Varanasi has symbol of purity and richness of emotions. For Ashok Kumar, photography is search of beauty and meaning of life. The art is a recreation of what is already been created by the Brahm, he opined.
On this occasion, renowned Indian photographer R K Goyal from Dehradun and Shishupal from Jammu were honoured. Arvind Sharma from Jammu was also honoured for his contribution to the Club. Renowned painters Vijay Anand, Suman Gupta and Subhash Langeh also expressed their views.
