JAMMU, Apr 13: Wildlife Department along with personnel from Police Station Bus Stand arrested a man along with leopard carcass and a nail.
As per police sources, a team of Wildlife Protection Department led by Anil Kumar Atri shared an information with Police Station Bus Stand stating that a person is illegal transporting wildlife contraband specifically leopard skin and other body parts of leopard and requested for providing police assistance to apprehend the suspect.
Acting over the information, a team from Police Station Bus Stand led by SHO Insector Vishal Shoor and team of Wildlife Protection Department conducted searches in and around bus stand and finally arrested the man along with leopard skin and a nail embedded in silver locket.
The arrested person was identified as Mohammad Yaqoob, son of Bashir Ahmed, a resident of Saloon Tehsil Pouni District Reasi.
Later, the man was handed over to Wildlife Department for necessary action under law.
