JAMMU, Apr 14: A cop was killed in accident near Digiana here.
As per police sources, a SgCt namely Suresh Kumar (posted at Police Station RS Pura), son of Bhagwan Dass of Arnia was seriously injured after his motorcycle was hit by an unknown vehicle near Digiana.
The profusely bleeding cop was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries.
After conducting post-mortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to family members for last rites.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Satwari and investigation started.
