KPS, KPC condemn killing of youth in Kulgam

JAMMU, Apr 14: Kashmiri Pandit Sabha (KPS) Ambphalla and Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) have strongly condemned the killing of a member of minority community in Kakran area of South Kashmir district by terrorists yesterday and demanded protection to the minorities living in Valley.
The KP Sabha which met here today under the leadership of its president, K K Khosa condemned the killing of the Satish Singh and termed him a martyr. The meeting prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed its total sympathy with the bereaved family which despite all odds preferred to stay in the Valley during over 32 long years of turmoil.
K K Khosa said the killing took place on the day when a purported notice had become viral in the social media which was directed at Hindu minorities in Kashmir. He said the notice has threatened death and destruction in case the minorities don’t leave the Valley. It has sent waves of fear among the minorities including package employees living in the Valley.
It said earlier a KP Sunny Kumar in Shopian area of South Kashmir was attacked and the terrorists have started targeting the minorities once again which is cause of concern. KPS has urged the GoI as well as UT administration to ensure security of minorities including PM package employees in the Valley.
KPC president, Kundan Kashmiri and its senior leader, Tej Pandita while condemning the killing and issuance of notices on social media by some terrorist outfits asking minority Hindus to leave Valley has termed it a serious issue. They urged the Government to take tough stance against terrorism and ensure security of all minorities including package employees in Kashmir.
BJP leader and Prabhari Kulgam Mushtaq Noorabadi have also condemned the killing of Rajput youth and said that the incident has terrorized the minority community members in the district. He demanded combing operations be launched to flush out terrorists from the area to maintain peace and brotherhood.
