Former MP, Councillor start construction of lanes

JAMMU, Apr 14: Former MP, Shamsher Singh Manhas along with JMC Councillor, Ashok Singh Manhas here today started construction of lanes in Ward no. 59 (Paloura).
The works will be completed under the supervision of JMC at an estimated cost of Rs. 35 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, Shamsher Singh said with the start of this work, the long pending demand of the people has been redressed and the concerned department will complete the work in stipulated period of time.
Highlighting achievements in Paloura and its adjoining areas, Manhas said that several exemplary measures have been taken to improve the living standard of the people in the area adding that for this purpose Central Government has provided liberal funding under various developmental sectors.
He said that people of the area should personally monitor the quality of ongoing developmental works in their respective areas to ensure their involvement in developmental activities.
The former MP further said that provision for adequate drinking water facilities, improved power, infrastructural facilities etc are being taken on priority.
