Educational institutions celebrate Janamasthmi with religious fervour

JAMMU, Aug 27: Various educational institutions celebrated Janamasthmi with religious fervour and gaiety.
Janamasthmi was celebrated at KC Public School with enthusiasm and ecstasy. The programme commenced with the teachings of Lord Krishna. On the occasion, students participated in various activities. Headmistress Sofia Rana spoke on the importance of the day.
Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar celebrated Janamasthmi with religious fervour and gaiety. On the occasion, children were dressed in colourful dresses depicting various poses of Lord Krishna. Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Managing Director of the school, Davinder Kour, Principal and Nirmala Koul, Vice Principal threw light on the life of Lord Krishna.
GD Goenka Public School celebrated the day with chanting of sholakas from Bhagwad Gita and narrating its translation in Hindi. The programme culminated with a dance based on the avatars of Lord Krishna. Matki Phod competition was organized, wherein students made human pyramid and broke the pot. Principal Jyoti Asija highlighted the importance of the day.
MHAC School, Nagbani celebrated Janamashtmi with religious fervor. On the occasion, a special assembly was conducted which comprised of a talk on Krishna Ashtmi by Tanmayee Manhas. A skit portraying the childhood of Lord Krishna was a lively performance wherein Devaditya of class I enacted as Lord Krishna and Shreya Sharma of class X as Mata Yashoda. This was followed by a dance item, bhajans and songs.
Saleg Senior Secondary School celebrated Janamashtmi. Principal, teachers, students and their parents participated in the programme.
Janamasthmi was celebrated in both the branches of May Fair Higher Secondary School, Chand Nagar and Janipur. Children were dressed as Krishna and Radha. Chairman Vijay Basur and Director Abhay Basur threw light on the life of Lord Krishna.
Little Flower Higher Secondary School, Greater Kailash celebrated Janamashtmi with zeal and enthusiasm. Toddlers were dressed as Lord Krishna, Radha, Gopikas and Kansa and also presented skits, devotional songs and enacted various roles of Sri Krishna.
Janamasthmi was celebrated at Dewan Devi Higher Secondary School, Rajpura. Tiny tots and senior students presented a musical extravaganza on “Radha-Krishna” life. Principal and staff members also participated in the programme.
Lawrence Public School, Panjtirthi and Sidhra branch celebrated Janamashtmi. The toddlers dressed as Radha, Krishna, Yashodha Maiya, Gopiya presented skit depicting scenes from Lord Krishna’s birth till Raas-lilla. On the occasion, various contests were organized including balloons blowing, eating butter, tie-untie yourself and balancing a pot on head. Later, prizes were distributed among the winners.
MV International School, Samba celebrated Janamasthmi with religious fervour. Students wearing colorful traditional dresses reminded everyone of our pristine glorious culture. An inter house dance competition was also organised, in which Einstein house emerged winner. The kids of preprimary and primary classes won thunderous applause by presenting their dance items, while the students of class IX and X delivered speeches. Harbans Singh, Academic Advisor was also present.
JK Montessorie School and JK montessorie celebrated Janamashtami with enthusiasm. Students presented various cultural programmes, which were highly appreciated by the audience.
Delhi Public School, Leh celebrated Janamasthmi by organizing a special assembly. On the occasion, students presented various cultural programmes. Principal of the school Subash Kumar threw light on the life of Lord Krishna.
Rich Harvest School, Bari Brahmana celebrated Janamashtami with full enthusiasm and zeal. The children were dressed up as Lord Krishna and Radha. Ruchi Charak, Trustee and the entire staff was also present.
Blooming Dale Public High School, Nanak Nagar celebrated Janamasthmi. On the occasion, students presented various cultural programmes. Principal Ram Murti Sharma was also present.
Janamasthmi was celebrated at Crescent Public School with religious fervour and gaiety. On the occasion, students presented skit and dance items. Principal RS Pathania, Managing Director Tasneem Kousar, activity incharge Vinita, house incharge Kiran Bala and Music teacher Rajat were also present.
JK Little Millennium Playway School, Talab Tillo, celebrated Janamasthmi. Students were dressed in colourful costumes depicting roles of Krishna and Radha. Students participated in Fancy Dress Contest, in which first position was claimed by Shourya Sharma and Ruhani Sharma, second prize by Aashraye Gupta and Bhavaya Sachdev while the third prize was won by Vinayak Sharma and Priyal Kachroo. Henry Don, Chairperson, Achint Kour, Center Coordinator, Rajni Gupta, Managing Director, JK Little Millennium were also present.
Sai Shyam Public School, Ghou-Manhasan celebrated Janamashtami with great enthusiasm and fervour. CL Tickoo, Chairman of the Institution and Dr Usha Tickoo Principal, Sai Shyam College of Education performed the puja along with staff and students. Sarojni Raina, Principal of the school highlighted the importance of celebrating such functions. A colorful programme was organized in which students participated actively.
ACM Public School celebrated Janamashtmi with zeal. Students attired in colourful dresses presented various cultural items based on the life of lord Krishna. Principal Nirmal Babbar along with Chairman ML Babbar threw light on the importance of the day.
On the eve of Janamashtmi, Global Convent School, Channi Rama, organised Kite flying competition in which students participated actively. Principal J Gandotra and founder Mona Pandoh were also present.
Ankur Vidyalaya High Public School celebrated the day wherein painting competition were organized. Later the winners were given prizes.
RM Public School celebrated Janamashtmi with great enthusiasm. Students were attired as Krishan and Radha and presented different dance items. Rameshwar Mengi, Chairman of the school threw light on the life and teachings of Lord Krishna. Rita Mengi, Co-ordinator Pre Primary wing Pooja Padwal, Principal RM College of Education PK Dhar were also present.
KC Playway celebrated Janamasthmi with fervour and zeal. Students attired in colourful dresses presented various cultural programmes and also visited Krishna Temple. Chairman Arvind Mahajan and Vijay Puri, Academic Director threw light on the importance of the day.
Janamashtami was celebrated at Happy Hours School, Rehari Colony. Students in colorful traditional dresses performed many traditional items. Besides, students, faculty members and the parents of the students were present. Principal Poonam Gupta threw light on the importance of the day. At the end gifts were also presented to students.
Janamasthmi was celebrated at Euro’s Pride School, Ambphalla. Students were dressed in colourful costumes depicting roles of Krishna and Radha. Director of the school was also present.
KC Kids Play School Udhampur celebrated Janamashtami with great zeal and fervour. Kids performed Lord Krishna’s Pooja and also enchanted hyms. Neha Khullar, Incharge of the school, made the kids aware about the importance of the day.
Humming Buds, pre-school of MIER celebrated Janamashtami at BC Road and Residency Road branches. Little children came beautifully dressed as Krishna, Radha and Gopies.
Narulas, The First Step School celebrated Janamashtami with fervor and joy.  Various competitions were organized in the school with active participation by children of all classes.  Class-I students participated in Peacock Feather Creative Activity, while UKG children were enthralled in Hitting the Matki competition.
Euro Care Pre school Trikuta Nagar celebrated Janamashtami. Dressed in colourful costumes like Lord Krishna and his devotee Radha, the kids displayed their talents. Ritu Beri, Principal in her brief speech highlighted the significance of the festival.
Svipe Children’s Club School celebrated Janamashtmi. Dressed up as Krishna and Radha, students presented cultural programmes.
Astrokids Playway School, Sainik Colony celebrated Janamasthmi with fervour and zeal. On the occasion, students presented various cultural programmes.
KIDZEE celebrated ‘Janamashtami’ in all its branches-Gole Puli, Bohri, Channi and Gandhi Nagar, with great joy and fervour.  Little children came beautifully dressed as Lord Krishna and Radha. Arti was also organised and prashad was distributed after the Arti. Children were also apprised about the relevance and importance of celebrating this day.
Little Champs Playway School, New Plots today celebrated Janamashtmi, in which students participated with full zeal and zest. The school was decorated with flowers, bells, buntings, balloons and rangoli to welcome Lord Krishna. Students sang devotional songs and left everyone spell bound. Principal of the school, Sonal Abrol appraised the students about the relevance and importance of celebrating this day.
DRS Kids International School, Bantalab celebrated Janamashtami. All the students were dressed in the costumes of Radha and Krishan. Director Kapil Chib, Principal Monica Sharma highlight the teachings of Lord Krishan.
Sir Abraham Lincon Embark Garrison Senior Secondary School, Bishnah celebrated the day along with the staff members and Principal of the school in which parents were present on the occasion.
Rotary Club Jammu Tawi celebrated Janamashtmi with fervor by installing a stall at Gandhi Nagar, where devotees of Shobha Yatra were served with fruit prasad. President Sunil Jain called for all the Jammuites to maintain peace and brotherhood to spread the message of truthfulness as enunciated by Lord Krishna.
