Ex-MLC projects issues of people from Nowshera

JAMMU, Apr 15: Former MLC and Congress leader Ravinder Sharma conducted tour of different areas of Sunderbani-Nowshera and took stock of peoples problems and pace of development activities.
Sharma also paid obeisance at the ancient people of Bawa Beeram Shah at Sarya, Jhanger, Rajal and Bagnoti and attended the religious functions besides praying for the well being of people and socio-religious harmony amongst different sections.
He regretted that the pace of development is very slow and people face problems due to lack of proper approach road to Bawa Ji Devsthan at Sarya (Jhanger) which needs to be upgraded and black topped on top priority in view of large number of devotees visiting these holy shrines.
Congress leader said that the religious tourism should be promoted in border areas to create job and business opportunities besides creating necessary facilities for pilgrims visiting from far off places.
He said that the basic health facilities created by the previous Congress coalition Government needs be made fully functional, as the Sub Centers sanctioned for some villages are without staff due to attachments at headquarters.
Sharma also demanded regularization of daily wagers, need based and land cases, without delay, as they are providing best services in the villages on meager wages. They keep the water supply, irrigation and other essential services functional round the clock, he added.
