JAMMU, Aug 28: Janamashtmi was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety by various educational institutions and social organizations.
Janamashtmi was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety at SM Jain Higher Secondary School. On the occasion, students attired in colourful dresses, presented various cultural programmes.
SP Senior Secondary School, Bari Brahmana celebrated Janamashtmi with religious fervour. On the occasion, students attired in colourful dresses, presented various cultural programmes.
Heaven Kingdom High School and Heaven’s Angels, a playway school celebrated Janamashtmi with enthusiasm. Students dressed as Radha and Krishna presented various cultural items. Principal Renu Sachdev threw light on the importance of day.
On the eve of Janamashtmi, KS Public School, Lakshmi Nagar, Muthi organized “Krishan Leela”, in which hundreds of tiny tots took part actively. Chairperson Sudesh Sharma and Principal Seema Malhotra threw light on the life and teachings of Lord Krishna.
Cambridge Public School, Paloura celebrated Janamashtmi. Children dressed as Lord Krishna and Radha participated in various activities. Balgit Singh Manhas, Principal threw light on the importance of the day.
Roots, The Montessori House celebrated Janamashtmi with enthusiasm and zeal. On the occasion, students dressed as Krishna and Radha, participated in various cultural programmes. Principal Pragya Gupta in her speech highlighted the significance of the festival.
Apple Kids International Pre-School, Bantalab celebrated Janamashtmi. On the occasion, the toddlers dressed as Krishna and Gopis danced on different Janamashtmi numbers. Students also enacted a play depicting the life of Lord Krishna. Puja Sharma, Principal threw light on the life and teachings of Lord Krishna.
Janamashtmi was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety at Apple Kids International Pre-School, Gandhi Nagar. On the occasion, the toddlers dressed as Krishna and Gopis danced on different Janamashtmi numbers and also sang songs. Jagjeet, centre head, highlighted the importance of the day and also threw light on the life and teachings of Lord Krishna.
Asian Kids International Play-way School celebrated Janamashtmi. Kulbinder Singh Jamwal, retd Asstt Commandant and Chairman Jamwal Educational Trust was the chief guest. On the occasion, students dressed as Krishna and Radha participated in various activities. In matki foud competition, Nishant Charak a student of class 2nd along with class mates emerged winner. Pooja Jamwal, Principal explained the importance of the day.
To mark the festival of Janamashtmi, Kite Flying Competition was organized, in which residents of Trikuta Nagar participated enthusiastically. The competition was inaugurated by Shiv Kumar Sharma, SP Railways, in presence of SHO Chanchal Singh and Nitish Mahajan, member, DRUCC, Northern Railways. In the competition, Yudishter Sharma and group bagged first prize, while Anil Gupta was adjudged as best kite maker and Idrees Malik claimed third rank. Later trophies and certificates were distributed among the winners.
On the eve of Janamashtmi, J&K Cultural Development Forum, Trikuta Nagar in collaboration with Sankar Bharti organised Krishan Roop Sajja Karyakaram. Aseem Gupta, State publicity secretary BJP was the chief guest and Kuldeep Raj Sharma, president, Sankar Bharti was guest of honour. On the occasion, children were dressed as Krishna, Radha and Balram. The best dress-up children were awarded momentos and other participants were awarded certificates. Samita Dogra Gupta, was announced as new member of Sankar Bharti.
On the eve of Janamashtmi, students of Sharda Sangeet Sadan presented a devotional music programme entitled “Swagatam Krishna” at Panch Mandir, Green Belt Park. The event was celebrated with pomp and show, where in students sang melodious bhajans devoted to Lord Krishna and Lord Rama. The students were accompanied by Satya Bhama Dubey with Padam Kalsotra on Tabla and Sumit Sharma on Keyboard.
