JKTA discusses issues with Principal Secretary School Education

JAMMU, Apr 18: A high level delegation of Executive Members of JK Teachers Association (JKTA) led by its UT President Bhupinder Singh called on Principal Secretary School Education Department BK Singh here today.
While interacting, UT President JKTA Bhupinder Singh raised the burning issues of teachers’ fraternity.
He said that the teachers shall be completely exempt from non teaching assignments as students suffer badly, DPCs of teachers to masters is lying pending in Jammu Division and in Jammu Division more than three thousand posts of masters are vacant, implementation of transfer policy in favour of Grade II and III teachers, transfer of females teachers appointed under ReT Scheme within district on marriage grounds, creation of Master posts in UPS upgraded under SSA and providing subject specific teachers in newly upgraded high schools and rationalization of teachers according to students roll in schools.
After giving a patient hearing to the delegation, Principal Secretary School Education assured that the burning issues of teachers raised by JKTA will be resolved on priority basis.
The Executive Members who were part of delegation includes Akhter Abass Naik Senior Vice President, Joginder Dingra Vice President), Pawan Verma Provincial President, Tirth Singh Balwal Provincial Senior Vice President, Dhruv Singh District President Samba, Sudesh Kumar District President Udhampur, Surjeet Singh Chairman Udhampur, Sunil Bhardwaj District President Kathua and Poonam Thakur Chairperson Doda.
