JAMMU, Apr 22: Department of National Security Studies of Central University of Jammu (CUJ) organised a cultural programme which was presided over by Prof P. Kangasabapathy, Chairman ICSSR, Prof and Dean Devaanadan, Central University of Jammu (CUJ) and Dr J.Jegannathan, Programme Coordinator, NSS unit CUJ.
The event was witnessed by Deans and Heads of the various departments of the varsity. The welcome address was conveyed by Dr Jegannathan, followed by an introduction of the chief guest, Prof. P. Kangasabapathy.
The chief guest delivered a keynote address on ‘Indian Models of Economy, Business and Management’ in which he stated that India is progressing on its own model. India has made sure to exceed and advance in accordance to the changing times.
He also talked about the advancement of Tamil Nadu and how they are progressing in the business field. He further praised India’s growth and development in economy, business and management and stressed upon the involvement of women in the business model. “Our model is different from that of countries like the US and that is the reason it makes us stronger than others.”
Cultural presentation and performance by NSS volunteers, Sree Ayyaappa College for Women, Tamil Nadu which was presented through virtual mode, while Chelshiya AV of CUJ performed Bharatanatyam dance. A Dogri dance performance was also presented by Neha and her team, whereas a Kashmiri dance performance was presented by Akshita and her team.
Dr KV Jayashree, Principal, Sree Ayyappa College for Women presented concluding remarks, followed by a certificate distribution ceremony, whereas the vote of thanks was presented by Dr Sreeya G.Nair, NSS Program Officer. The event concluded with the National Anthem.
