JAMMU, Aug 29: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Vijay Bakaya, today distributed eight cheques to the tune of Rs 1, 08,000 to the critically sick among Kashmiri migrants as financial assistance for incurring expenditure on their medication.
The amount was sanctioned by the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
Speaking on the occasion, Bakaya said that so far more than Rs 15 lakh have been distributed among more than 70 patients.
Others present on the occasion were PL Talashi, chief coordinator and Pinky Bhat, president, Women Wing, Minority Cell, Som Nath Dhar, ML Labroo etc.
