JAMMU, Apr 24: Apni Party provincial secretary Jammu Urban, Dr. Rohit Gupta has urged upon the government to regularize all the daily wagers working in J&K.
In a handout, Dr. Gupta said that daily wagers have been put to unnecessary financial sufferings with low wages while prices of essential commodities have gone up alarmingly.
He said that poor daily wagers are facing exploitation in the hands of government.
Dr. Gupta claimed that from time to time the government made commitments with daily wagers to regularise them but till date nothing has been done in this regard.
“The government should consider the long pending demand of daily wagers and implement Minimum Wage Act in J&K like other States of the country,” he maintained demanding release of pending wages of the daily wagers.
