CEO orders enquiry regarding absence of teaching staff

UDHAMPUR, Apr 27: Taking cognizance of the Excelsior report on unauthorized absence of teachers as well as Principal at Government Higher Secondary School, Dhamnote, Chief Education Officer, Udhampur has ordered an inquiry into the matter.
According to an order in this regard, a three-member committee has been constituted to conduct a detail enquiry regarding absence of teaching staff, including Principal of the said institutions and submit a detail report within three days.
The inquiry committee, comprising Ram Kumar (Dy CEO Udhampur), Arunesh Kumar (Principal Govt HSS Panchari) and Gulzar Mohd (ZEO Panchari) shall visit the Government HSS Dhamnote for conducting a detail inquiry and submit the report to CEO Udhampur for further action.
Pertinent to mention that the Excelsior, in its April 25 issue, carried a new item highlighting protest by locals of village Dhamnote and adjoining areas against unauthorized absence of teaching staff at Government Higher Secondary School Dhamnote.
Out of 22 Masters and Lecturers posted in the HSS Dhamnote, only four were present in the school when locals reached the spot and found the students sitting here and there with no class work going on. Students of the school had also alleged that most of the teachers used to remain absent and come occasionally while the Principal had visited the school only once on the day of joining her duties.
