JAMMU, Apr 27: BJP senior leader and JMC Councilor Ward Number 41, Sanjay Kumar Baru conducted an extensive tour of Ward to review the ongoing development works.
Baru was irked over the lack of coordination in departments which is creating hurdles in the completion of development works in the Ward.
Sanjay Baru toured the areas of Anand Nagar, Hajuri Bagh and SBI colony during the tour. He was also accompanied by PWD AEE Shams Din, Ward Supervisor, William Massih, BJP Booth president, Jangjit Singh and other prominent persons.
During the tour, he asked the PWD officials to immediately start the sanctioned drain works at Anand Nagar extensions. He also visited Lane No. 2 Anand Nagar and inspected all the ongoing drain construction and slab work on the drain.
Baru also met and listened to the grievances of the Ward residents. Local residents shared their complaints with the local Councilor. They complained about the frequent, long and highly irregular power cuts, which is jeopardizing the life of the people especially the students and the old and sick persons in this extremely hot weather.
They also lodged their strong resentment in terms of inadequate drinking water supply which is again a basic life need. The locals said that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is dedicatedly working to develop the Jammu & Kashmir but we are lacking even the basic facilities due to the callus attitude of these departments.
