Speaking as chief guest at the concluding function of the training of 74th batch of IRS officers and two officers of Royal Bhutan Services at NADT here, the Vice-President appreciated the government’s efforts to do away with complex and tedious processes.
He observed that technology is a great enabler in creating a transparent and taxpayer-friendly administration.
“Leveraging digital technology is crucial for financial inclusion, ease of service delivery and plugging leakages from various welfare schemes,” he said.
“Interaction between taxpayers and taxmen should be characterized by a spirit of trust, transparency and mutual respect,” the Vice President further said.
