RAJOURI, May 7: One person died and four others were injured in three separate road accidents, here today.
A motorcyclist died when his bike skidded off the road and hit a roadside rock at Kakora in Manjakote. The deceased was identified as Mohd Azeem, son of Shabir Hussain of Kakora. He had sustained serious injuries and was rushed to GMC Hospital Rajouri where he succumbed to his injuries.
Reports said that in a collision between Scooty (JK11D-2212) and motorcycle (PB32N-8117), this afternoon near Shiv Mandir, Nowshera, both the riders sustained serious injuries. They were identified as Vishal Sharma (23), son of Ashok Kumar of Laroka , who was riding Scooty and motorcyclist Gurmeet Singh (40), a sage. Both the injured were shifted to SDH Nowshera by locals and after first aid, they were referred to GMC Hospital Rajouri.
In another road accident during intervening night of May 6-7, one Echo car ( JK11C/7444) was hit by an unidentified truck at Rajal resulting into injuries to the car driver, identified as Mintu Singh (37), son of Harbans Singh of Rajouri. The injured was shifted to SDH Nowshera and then referred to GMC Hospital Rajouri.
In a similar accident, a motorcyclist sustained injuries when his bike was hit by a truck near work shop bridge, here this morning. The motorcycle bearing registration number JKIIE- 4561 was on way from Rajouri to Thandi Kass when it was hit by truck JK02AD-0577, resulting into injuries to motorcycle rider Mohd Asif (24), son of Mohd Ayoub of Manjakote. He was shifted to GMC Hospital Rajouri for treatment.
