RAMBAN, May 8: Two minor boys drowned in river Chenab while taking bath near Maitra area here today.
As per police sources, two minor boys namely Natish Kumar (15), son of Kishori Lal and Pravinder Singh (16), son of Suram Singh, both residents of Diyar Gali Tehsil Rajgarh District Ramban were taking bath in river Chenab near Maitra area when they got trapped in the strong current of the water and got washed away.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started search operation with other agencies including J&K UTDRF.
The bodies of the drowned minors were not fished out when last reports were compiled. However, the search operation will be launched tomorrow morning again.
Ramban Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
