RAMBAN, May 10: Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Home, Raj Kumar Goyal, today visited Ramban district and reviewed security and other related arrangements for ensuing Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Yatra (SANJY) 2022.
During the visit, Goyal inspected the pace of various works being executed on Yatri Niwas by Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board at Chanderkote.
ACS was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam, SSP, Mohita Sharma, SSP Traffic, NHW, Shabir Ahmed, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal Sharma and other senior officers of line departments.
Taking firsthand appraisal of status of work on Yatri Niwas, ACS was briefed about the capacity of the facility and its utility during SANJY -2022. He also discussed joint mechanism and planning required for successful conduct of holy yatra besides maintenance of a foolproof security grid on Jammu Srinagar National Highway.
Goyal, later, inspected the Police Control Room near Shaan Palace and viewed the operation of hi-tech CCTV cameras to monitor any suspicious movement of vehicles on NH-44.
Earlier, Deputy Commissioner briefed the ACS about the preparedness of different departments for ensuing SANJY 2022 besides discussing other issues pertaining to various major development projects being executed in the district.
