JAMMU, May 10: President of All J&K Panchayat Conference (AJKPC) and Sarpanch Halqa Panchayat Jindrah (block Dansal of district Jammu), Anil Sharma today inaugurated several developmental works in Jindrah for which amount has been provided to the Panchayat under 13th Financial Commission.
The estimated cost of these works which include tile works of lanes, construction of sheds at two crematoriums, water pump and rejuvenation of a Baoli (traditional water body), is over Rs 25 lakh and it. Anil Sharma, while addressing the people, said that all the developmental works have been completed with the collective cooperation of the people.
He also informed that at all inauguration plates, only the name of the Jindrah Panchayat Gram Sabha is mentioned instead the name(s) of Panch or Sarpanch as the amount for these works is spent out of Panchayat fund so no individual should claim credit for these works.
Sharma assured the villagers that he would continue his efforts to make Jindrah one of the best Panchayats in the J&K provided that people continue their sincere contribution and cooperation as they always provided.
Prominent locals present on the occasion were retired Headmaster Ganga Dutt Sharma, ex-chairman Omkar Singh, retired Lecturer Chander Molli Sharma, retired Sub Inspector Om Parkash Sharma, Rameshwar Singh, Pritam Chand, Soga Ram and others.
