14 injured as Tempo turns turtle

REASI, May 10: At least 14 passengers were injured when a Tempo met with an accident at Plassu in Mahore area of Reasi district, here today.
The Tempo, bearing registration number JK14B- 3882, was going from Mahore to Arnas when it turned turtle at Plassu village as driver lost control over the vehicle while negotiating a curve.
The injured passengers were first shifted to CHC Arnas and after first aid, six of them were referred to District Hospital Reasi for advanced treatment.
In view of serious injuries, one of the injured, identified as Salam Shah (30, son of Abdul Rashid of Mellan Bathole, Mahore, was further referred to GMC Hospital Jammu.
Those admitted at DH Reasi, were identified as Mohd Ashraf (37), son of Abdul Majeed of Jamlan, Mohd Farooq (20), son of Mohd Bashir of Shajroo, Parveen Akhter (20), resident of Bathoi, Rashpal Singh, son of Kartar Singh of Thakrakot and Mohd Latief (45), resident of Bathoie.
Meanwhile, A Policeman was injured when his bike was hit by a water tanker on Railway Road Katra.
The injured cop was identified as Head Constable Baldev Singh, son of Dodi Ram, resident of Chappar, Udhampur and presently posted at Police Station Katra. He was shifted to CHC Katra for treatment.
