JAMMU, May 11: Taking a dig on recent provocative tweets by Mehbooba Muft (president of Peoples Democratic Party) wishing Indian economy to go Sri Lanka ways, chief spokesperson of J&K BJP Sunil Sethi said Mufti’s tweets indicate her frustration on growth of India as world leader and destructive situation existing in Pakistan whose economy is in shambles as also its very existence.
“Having frustration because of pathetic conditions in Pakistan, Mehbooba is venting all her frustration and anger towards India,” Sethi said in a statement issued today. He said such tweets are being made to provoke sentiments of public. Other recent tweets of Mufti indicate her bent of mind in raising communal frenzy for petty political gains, he added.
Sethi said India is strong economy and has taken care of its public during difficult Covid-19 pandemic which has been appreciated by whole world. He further pressed that such statements are testing the patience of Indian public. In ‘New India’, there is no place for such political blackmailing which unfortunately was tolerated and accepted during Congress regimes at Centre, he asserted.
“Gone are the days when such elements like Yaseen Malik had easy access to even Prime Minister of the country despite being involved in genocide of Kashmiri Pandits and targeted killings of security personnel,” the BJP leader said.
