REASI, May 11: A Policeman died in a road accident when his bike was hit by an unidentified vehicle at Dhanwa village, near Pouni, here today.
The deceased was identified as Ramesh Chander, son of Om Parkash of Nowshera and currently posted as SGCT in Police Station Katra.
Reports said that the deceased was going on his bike from Rajouri towards Katra to join duty when an unidentified vehicle hit his bike at Dhanwa, which led to serious injury to him.
He was seen by locals in injured condition and on being informed, Police shifted him to DH Reasi where doctors declared him as brought dead.
A case in this regard was registered at PS Pouni and search was launched to nab the culprit.
