Opposition trying to disturb peace in valley: Vibodh

SRINAGAR, May 12: BJP J&K General Secretary and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vibodh Gupta today launched a blistering attack on People Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti for regularly making communal remarks to gain her lost ground in the Union territory and asserted that former CM Mehbooba Mufti is trying to ignite communal tension with her statements and speeches in the valley which is presently undergoing from a peaceful and stable phase.
He said this while interacting with media personnel at party headquarters here today.
Vibodh accused the opposition parties of trying to divide the society in the name of caste and religion as the central Government under PM Narendra Modi and the UT administration under LG Manoj Sinha have successfully fulfilled the aspirations of the people at all fronts.
Vibodh referred to the LG administration’s quick response and fulfilment of the demand of the JKAS aspirants for the restoration of age relaxation clause in the JKAS exam.
He further said that top BJP leadership in the Union territory also advocated aspirants demand to the LG office with utmost commitment.
He further strongly asserted that stone pelting incidents in Kashmir have been reduced to zero while terrorist rackets have been uprooted.
“Peace and stability in the valley have attracted large number of tourists which has further added to economy of the Kashmir. People of Kashmir are celebrating and flourishing in the New Jammu and Kashmir”, Vibodh added. He stressed that BJP Government will not allow anyone to disturb peace and prosperity in J&K by following divide and rule politics.
