LG administration failed to redress grievances of middle class: GCPF

JAMMU, May 13: General Category Peoples’ Front – Jammu Kashmir (GCPF-JK) has strongly condemned LG administration for its failure to redress the grievances of people, especially the middle class.
Prof. Yash Paul Sanson, Front J&K president while addressing the meeting of Core Group of the Front said that people of Jammu province are upset with LG and his administration for not solving problems like poor electricity and water supply, medical facilities etc.
He also said that Government arrogance and autocratic approach has made the people upset and the middle class is facing total neglect.
Som Nath Sharma, general secretary said that Government should chalk out a strategy to check price-rise of essential commodities.
He demanded 50 per cent cut in electricity and water bills and end of all toll plazas.
Sharma appealed to reserve 100 per cent class IV posts for young widows and for the person whose family has lost earning member.
Demand of hike in Medical Allowance of employees and pensioners was also raised in the meeting.
V.K. Sharma, Bhushan Pargal-both vice presidents; Deepak Khajuria, Dr. Bansi Lal-both secretaries; Raj Kumar Banathia, chairman; Surinder Kumar Sharma and Gopal Dass Verma were also present in the meeting.
