NEW DELHI, Sept 3: Tata BlueScope Steel, an equal joint venture between Tata Steel and BlueScope Steel, Australia, today announced the appointment of Riten Choudhury as its Managing Director.
The appointment is effective from September 1, the company said in a statement.
Prior to this appointment, Mr Choudhury was Vice-President of the Building Products business of Tata BlueScope Steel since 2010, and has successfully led the business towards sustained growth and high performance, it added.
Mr Choudhury has experience in fields such as Profit Centre Management, Strategy, Sales and Marketing.
He has a graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur in Marketing and Finance.
Mr Choudhury is a Chevening Scholar and has been awarded the Chevening Manager for Leadership scholarship by the British Government.
