REASI, May 14: District Police Reasi today booked a notorious criminal and history sheeter of Chassana area under Public Safety Act (PSA ) and lodged him in Central Jail Kot Bhalwal Jammu.
Identified as Prem Singh, a notorious history sheeter, he was involved in ten case FIRs, including cases of attack on Government officials, attempt to murder and rape.
He is also habitual of lodging fake complaints and litigation on Govt officials and common people of the area and then blackmailing the innocents.
For five times, Police recorded his bad reports of raising communal tensions in the area and twice on the report of Police, Prem Singh was ‘Bound Down’ by Executive Magistrate as preventive measure to stop him committing crime.
Because of his continuous involvement in notorious activities, Reasi Police framed his dossiers and sent for necessary detention order. Today by the order of District Magistrate Reasi, he got booked under Public Safety Act. Thereafter, he was arrested and shifted to Kot Bhalwal Jail Jammu.
