JAMMU, May 16: Senior BJP leaders including Kavinder Gupta (former Deputy Chief Minister), R S Pathania (J&K BJP spokesperson) and Vikas Choudhary (secretary J&K BJP) listened to the public grievances at BJP headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
People from various parts of the region visited BJP headquarter and discussed their issues with the senior party leadership. People came individually as well as in the form of deputations to press for their specific issues.
Majority of the issues were related to the development of their respective areas pertaining to drinking water, electricity, lanes, drains, roads etc. Some issues presented were of the specific nature like a deputation of employees of JAKFED requested to accommodate them with financial aspect as suitable as the Corporation was closed down. A deputation of non-migrant Kashmiri Hindus requested to provide relief to left out non migrant Hindus ‘at par SRO 425’ for them.
While listening to the issues presented, Kavinder Gupta telephonically talked to the concerned departmental officials and issued letters for the others. “People have their own day to day issues related to the individual concerns as well as issues of development. With these public grievances camps, BJP has tried to bridge the gap between the people and administration so that their issues are addressed at the appropriate level” said Kavinder.
