JAMMU, May 17: Gangyal police today arrested an absconder after 6 years.
“Nirmal Singh son of Raghubir Singh, resident of tehsil Janyal, district Pathankot (Punjab), who was accused in a case FIR No 04/2016 U/S 279/338 IPC of Police Station Gangyal, was evading his arrest for last 6 years,” police sources said.
They said today on specific inputs, a team of Police Station Gangyal led by SHO Inspector Joginder Singh apprehended the accused from Pathankot and then produced him before 1st Additional Munsiff Forest JMIC Jammu for further proceedings.
