SRINAGAR, May 17: World Hypertension Day 2022 was today observed across all health facilities of Kashmir under the directions of Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather.
The theme of this year’s day was “Measure your blood pressure accurately, control it, live longer”.
Speaking at the event held at the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir, the Director stressed the need for prevention and early diagnosis of hypertension to prevent various complications and for leading a healthy life.
World Hypertension Day is marked as a day focused on creating awareness about Hypertension and its symptoms.
Dr MA Rather said that screening facilities and diagnostic tests are available at all NCD clinics in district and sub-district hospitals and in addition, these facilities are also available at all Primary Health Centres and health and wellness centres.
