SAMBA, May 18: A youth was killed while another received serious injuries in head-on collision between a motorcycle and a tipper near village Dorha here today, police sources said.
The deceased was identified as Ashwani Kumar (18), son of Harbans Lal of Purani Kali Nud and the injured is identified as Mukesh Kumar (18), son of Gopal Dass of Kapahi Nud.
The injured youth was initially rushed to District Hospital Samba from where he was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for advanced treatment.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to family members for last rites.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started.
