JAMMU, May 18: Building Centre Jammu (BCJ) Director Harinder Arora today visited Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) Jammu and met faculty members.
A training-cum-awareness programme on `Cost Effective Housing Technologies and Materials’ was organized on the occasion.
The students were made aware about non-conventional cost effective and energy efficient building material/technologies for sustainable developments and thermal comfort.
While highlight aims, objectives and activities of the Building Centre Jammu, Arora said they are promoting cost effective building materials as substitute to conventional technologies.
“Various non-conventional building materials/products manufactured by the Building Centre Jammu are cost effective, environment-friendly and meeting quality standards. They are useful for sustainable developments,” Arora said.
