MENDHAR, Sept 4: Commanding Officer, 135 Battalion, BSF, Jameel Ahmed Khan, inaugurated a BSNL tower at remote border village –Ucchad in the presence of BSNL officials, Sarpanchs and Panchs and locals of the nearby areas.
The tower was erected some one year back but due to tension along the border, the BSNL officials could not make it operational. The BSF officer took initiative and provided every possible support to the BSNL authorities to make the tower operational so that people of this remote village and nearby villages could get connected to the other parts of the State and counrty.
Local populace expressed gratitude towards BSF for this noble cause.
