2 killed, 5 school children among 10 injured in road mishaps

Srinagar, Sept 4: Two persons were killed while ten other injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir valley today.
A police spokesman 5 school children were injured in a collision between a tipper JK02AR/7540 and school bus JK01K/7307 at Baroosa in Ganderbal district.
The spokesman said Itizqa Majid, Zahid Zahoor, Noorian Tariq, Zahida and Kamran Rashid of Safapora were injured. All the injured were removed to District Hospital Ganderbal for treatment.
A Santro car  JK01M/6500 driven by Fayaz Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Gani of Khwajabagh, Maloora hit a motorcycle JK01K/9884 at Maloora in district Srinagar, resulting in on spot death of the motorcyclist Ghulam Qadir Malik, son of Farooq Ahmed of Malikpora, Hajin of Banidpora district.
An unidentified woman was hit and injured by an unidentified vehicle near Hatrick Bypass, Hyderpora in Srinagar district.
She was removed to JVC Bemina, Srinagar for treatment, where she succumbed to her injuries. Her body has been kept in mortuary room at Panthachowk for identification.
The spokesman said a Tata Sumo JK03C/6292 hit and injured a girl, Bazila Fayaz, 5, daughter of Fayaz Ahmad Rather of Shangus at Shangus in district Anantnag. She was shifted to a hospital for treatment.
A pedestrian, Ghulam Mohammad Ganie of Dialgam was injured when a motorcycle JK03A/3256 hit him at Dialgam, in district Anantnag
The spokesman identified the motorcyclist as Bashir Ahmad Kadoo, son of Ghulam Mohidin of Ashjipora. A pillion rider Masrat Jan, daughter of Bashir Ahmad Kadoo was also injured.  Both the injured have been shifted to a hospital for treatment.
A Tata Magic without registration number hit and injured two pedestrian Nayeema Akhter daughter of Habibullah of Waskoora and Ghulam Rasool Gani son of Mohammad Subhan of Braripora near Kulangam Bridge in Handwara area of Kupwara district. The injured have been shifted to District Hospital Handwara for treatment.
Police has registered cases in these accidents, the spokesman said.
