JAMMU, May 19: With an aim to provide opportunity to the youth of far flung areas to understand the togetherness of India inspite of immense diversity, District Police Reasi and District Police Udhampur organized Bharat Darshan Tour for youth of their respective district under Civic Action Programme of Jammu & Kashmir Police.
In a ceremony organized today at District Police Lines Reasi, Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal flagged off the tour in which a group of 100 participants were selected from different areas of Reasi. The programme was flagged of from DPL Reasi in presence of officers of Reasi Police and Civil administration.
In this event of seven days opportunity to enjoy different modes of transportation including travel by train and by air, is being provided to the youth of far flung areas of district Reasi.
In this tour programme, opportunity of sightseeing at Delhi and Chennai is being provided to the touring youth, who will visit Delhi National Police Memorial, Red Fort, Qutab Minar, Metro, India Gate, Parliament House, Malls in Delhi and Mahabalipuram, Museum, National Park etc in Chennai. They will also get a chance to interact with the dignitaries at Delhi and Chennai.
Similarly, Bharat Darshan tour programme for 77 students from different parts of district Udhampur, was flagged off today from District Police Lines Udhampur, by SSP Udhampur Dr Vinod Kumar. Addl SP Udhampur Anwaar Ul Haq, SDPO Chenani Ahmed Shaafi, DySP DAR Shahid Nahiem, DySP Hqrs Udhampur Sahil Mahajan, SDPO Ramnagar Dr Bhishm Dubey and other District Police Officers of the district were also present on the occasion.
SSP Udhampur, while interacting with the touring students, advised them to avail the opportunity by taking best out of this tour as they will be visiting places of historical importance and other places of interest. He said that such occasion will provide them new experience and also give them vast exposure to become more confident and attain knowledge about the visiting places.
Five Police officers as caretakers are accompanying the group, which will visit different places during the tour. The tour will be of 5 days and group will return on May 23, 2022. During the tour, students will visit historical places at Delhi and Bangalore. All the lodging, boarding and transport facilities have been provided by District Police Udhampur.
