Thieves decamp with cash, ornaments from soldier’s house

SAMBA, May 19: The thieves decamped with Rs 15,000 and two and a half tolas of gold ornaments from the house of a soldier in the Parjani village of Samba district during broad day light today.
According to the information received, Manju Devi, wife of an army man who lives in her house along with her daughter had gone to Samba in the morning for some work. When they returned in the afternoon, they saw that the main door of the house was open and the Almirah inside was also broken and things were missing from the Almirah. She said Rs 15,000 cash including a pair of ear rings, a nose ring and two rings were missing from the house. Besides, one mobile phone has also been stolen which was lying in the house, she added.
The Samba police has taken the cognizance of the matter and started investigation.
