JAMMU, May 20: A man was killed and three others sustained injuries after a Swift car they were travelling in rolled down into gorge near Assar area.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration JK06-9064 was on its way to Doda from Udhampur when the driver lost control over the car and it rolled down into gorge resulting into on the spot death of one person and injuries to three others.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation with the help of locals.
All the injured were shifted to hospital where their condition was stated to be stable when reports last came in.
The deceased was identified as Rattan Singh, son of Suneet Singh of Thalsar Bhalla, while the injured were identified as Ranjit Singh, son of Bharat Singh, Balbir Singh, son of Maan Singh and Jagjeet Singh, son of Diwan Singh, all resident of Thalsar Bhalla Bhaderwah District Doda.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Assar and investigation started.
