UDHAMPUR, May 20: Sulakshna Magotra, Councilor of Ward number 05 in the Municipal Council Udhampur, today kick started the construction work of a bridge worth Rs 60 lakh in her ward.
On this occasion, senior congress leader Brij Mohan Sharma , Sumeet Magotra and prominent citizens of the ward were present.
While addressing the gathering Sulakshna Magotra informed that the construction of this bridge was long pending demand of this locality and she took up this matter with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, who accorded approval of funds for the same. She thanked the Lt Governor for appropriate and necessary timely action.
Congress leader Brij Mohan Sharma said that this was apparently for the first time that a Councillor succeeded to get such a huge amount sanctioned for the construction of bridge.
