SAMBA, June 9: The police recovered a kidnapped girl hailing from Ghagwal area of Samba from Delhi today.
A senior police official said that young daughter of one Bhishamber Dass of Nanath village in Ghagwal area was allegedly kidnapped by a youth hailing from Rattanpur Sarara area of Kootah on September 25, 2011. She was traced and recovered by a special police team from Delhi area. The police said the FIR was lodged by the family only on February 9, 2012 after they failed to trace the girl in 3-4 months at their own.
The police also arrested the accused Vijay Kumar, son of Ludar Mani, resident of Ratwana, Rattanpur Sarara. The police sent the girl to hospital for medical examination and later handed over to the family. The police said the parents lodged report with police
It may be recalled that people of the area had also held protest against police about a week back. Thereafter, the police came into action and traced the girl from Saket area in Delhi.
